This Privacy Policy explains how BIT3 ("BIT3", "we", "our", "us"), a product developed and operated by Friendly Infotech, collects, uses and protects information when you (a restaurant/cafe business, "Account", "you", "your") use our point-of-sale and restaurant management software (the "Service").

1. Information we collect

• Account information — business name, owner name, mobile number, email address, address, GSTIN and login credentials provided when your account is created.
• Business data — menu items, orders, bills, customers, staff, tables, expenses and reports that you or your staff enter while using the Service.
• Usage data — login times, IP address, device/browser type and actions performed within the Service, collected automatically for security and audit purposes.
• Payment/renewal information — licence validity, renewal keys and payment references related to your subscription. We do not store your card or bank details; payments are handled by our team or third-party payment processors directly.

2. How we use your information

• To provide, operate and maintain the Service for your account.
• To process billing, orders, reports and other features you use.
• To communicate with you about your account, licence renewal, support requests and important updates.
• To monitor, secure and improve the Service, and to detect or prevent fraud, abuse or unauthorised access.
• To comply with applicable laws and reasonable requests from law enforcement or regulatory authorities.

3. Data storage & multi-tenancy

Each business Account's data is stored in its own separate database, isolated from other Accounts. Data is hosted on servers located in India or with our hosting provider's infrastructure. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect this data, including access controls and encrypted storage of sensitive fields (such as passwords and licence keys).

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your business data or customer data to third parties. We may share information only:

• With our hosting/infrastructure providers, strictly to operate the Service.
• When required by law, court order or governmental request.
• With your explicit consent, or as necessary to provide support you have requested.

5. Data retention

We retain your Account data for as long as your Account is active. If your Account is cancelled or expires, we may retain data for a reasonable period thereafter for backup, legal or dispute-resolution purposes, after which it may be permanently deleted.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your Account's data by contacting us using the details below, subject to any legal or contractual retention requirements.

7. Cookies & local storage

The Service uses essential cookies/local storage to keep you logged in and to remember basic preferences (such as theme). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
